I’d been a hairdresser for over 30 years and had built three successful salons after moving from Zimbabwe to Australia.

But I let one business that didn’t work convince me I was a failure.

When I expanded and opened a fourth salon, it started strong, then slowly fell apart.

For five years I pushed harder, believing more effort was the answer, while one salon carried the other.

When the lease ended, I closed the doors, sold my remaining salon, and was left with nothing but exhaustion and tears.
